Drawing on 30+ years of combined wind industry experience, the founders of ELEV8 WIND set out to address a problem technicians know all too well: the role has evolved faster than the way it’s defined, recognized, and valued.Wind technicians are expected to master more systems, carry more responsibility, and work in increasingly complex environments — both onshore and offshore — yet the pathway into the role and the standards that shape it remain inconsistent.ELEV8 WIND exists to change that.We believe the wind technician role can only be professionalised if it is technician-led. The people doing the work must have a voice in how the role develops, how standards are set, and how experience is recognized.Our goal is to build the largest global network of wind technicians and harness that collective knowledge to establish clear professional standards, define meaningful career pathways, and help make wind a globally recognized, respected, and sustainable career.This is about raising the standard of the role — for technicians today, tomorrow and anywhere the wind blows...
